angels and demons.

sunday night came back not too long ago from watching the above mentioned movie. while i didn't quite enjoy it as i thought i would, i must say though, it was an interesting experience watching the movie.

more than a few times, thoughts did enter my head like "is the Church capable of such things" and things along that line. i had to constantly remind myself it was nothing more than fiction and that it was a show meant for entertainment.

that said, i disagree with people who say that it is "wrong" or "not right" for Catholics to watch the movie. what's wrong with watching the movie? this and da vinci code for that matter. while i can understand and even at times feel annoyed about the fact that dan brown used my religion as a basis for his novels, it's hard to fathom how people can come to take it as a fictional work based on "facts". does that now make it non-fiction?

i can only say, read the books and watch the movies as a neutral. appreciate the books for what they were - well-written and interesting. and even if somewhere along the lines "historical fact" did come into play, so be it.
