limits.

tuesday evening one can only take so much and i'm reaching the limits of mine. it doesn't matter if it's because of a friend, school work, family, finances or whatever it may be. my limits for enduring such matters are being keenly tested this few weeks and i wish only to be able to get through them as best as i can without flaring up on people.

something in particular irked me last night and has been at the back of my head since last night. perhaps i'm being too sensitive perhaps i'm not. but it takes on greater meaning when other people can tell me the same thing and question what steps and actions i am taking to address it. peculiar times.

yes, i've promised to try to not let it affect me but it's getting pretty hard to ignore what i've seen/heard, what people have been telling me and sooner or later i'll snap. i make no apologies for behaving the way i do. i make no pretense to be someone i'm not and i don't expect anyone else to be otherwise. and that perhaps is one of my weaknesses - not wanting to conform to people's expectations and just wanting to be who and what i want to. it may not be the wisest and certainly not the best of decisions but who is to judge?

snowboarding was pretty fun, somewhat a boys' day out to the slopes. it was funny how we (okay, 3 out of 4) went without sleeping the night before, someone going despite a massive hangover and the rest of us dead tired. once we did the first run down the slopes, adrenaline kicked in and we went on our way to the highest slope where we indulged in A$18 laksa and A$6 chicken pasta. i suppose that marked the end of the winter for us despite winter being officially over since the start of september.

weekend trip to sydney was alright. probably the highlight for me was charlene's farewell party. apart from that, didn't get to do much save for eating. was a good enough break from all the work though.

in any case, right now, i wish i were still having krav maga or boxing lessons. the outlet it provides... i don't know how to describe it. it was during the sparring sessions i could really release all the frustrations. punching harder, kicking more accurately. taking more hits without feeling pain. i miss them.
