floorball.
wednesday morning it's good to be back among the floorballers. be them those from ngee ann, nus, smu, ntu and wherever else they may come from, it feels good to be back. even though i'm not able to play this time round, i'm looking forward to the floorball season back in canberra. i am not very pleased with my goalscoring. i am also not very pleased with my fitness.
watching the on-going ivp games reminded me of back when i was still playing for ngee ann. the competiveness, the drive to win, the physical limits that each of us pushed to get that something extra out of ourselves. gone are the days where i was able to run 10km under 45 minutes, gone are the days where i was able to sprint through an entire game. much as i want to be back to that level of fitness, my knee's hampering the amount of physical training i can do. i'm very afraid it'll just give way again and that will truly be the end of it all.
in any case, can't wait to be back in the middle of it all. given so much for floorball that sometimes, i feel it takes more effort to want to let go than training up from the bottom.
