downer.
sunday night it was one of those days where your perspective on life changes. dad, mum and i went by st joseph's home and hospice to visit a relative and it was quite an experience. going there as a volunteer to help paint stuff, build stuff or entertain the residents is one thing. having a relative stay there is another all together.
it reminded me, again, of our mortality. life moves by pretty quick and before you know it, people you recognized as strong and active suddenly become the opposite. that's when it hits home.
we're all inherently frail and soft no matter what we do and how we live our lives.
