what a thrashing.

thursday had a game just now against the australian national team. was mainly the ngee ann boys (3 lines) and my line. played with edmund aqil (defense) kristian olsson (center) yuxun (forward partner) emily and arizal (2nd forward pair). played pretty well. we had the most attacking impetus but still conceded 2 goals. didn't score any but not that it really mattered. was a work out and a fun game for us (my line at least). think the team did pretty well for the first 2 periods. was tied 2-2. somehow in the fourth and fifth periods, the rest of the lines just collapsed. lost 7-2 (was 4-2 after the 3rd though..) hah.. and i missed a freaking penalty shot. annoying.

anyway, like i said, it was a fun and memorable game. had a wrist shot cleared off the line. miscued my slapshot and had 2 others on target. so it was a pretty good outing. think it was also one of those games where i dared to try different things.

man utd won! hah. was expecting them to lose (somehow) but they came up 3-1 winners. so it's all good. was also surprised that barcelona made it through. everything seemed to be against them but like all good or great teams, they came through adversity and prevailed. speaks volumes about their mental strength. something that singapore players need to have.. that's just my opinion anyway.
