sheesh!

sunday morning it's amazing how far anger can drive a person. and in this case, to flip the switch off a friendship. impulsive? yes. regrets? probably not yet. maybe in a few hours/days/weeks/months when i've simmered down and not get pissed off just thinking about what you did. maybe. so much for being a sensitive friend.

anyway. i think i coughed out my lunch, dinner and supper out all at once just now. this cough is getting so irritating that i vomit if i cough too much. and my throat still hurts though not as bad. so see how it goes. in any case, i give myself till monday to get well if not i'm headed for the doctor's again. bloody weather here is literally killing me.

oh yes. how could i forget. my boss's farewell dinner on friday was a blast. the whole office was at tainan seafood restaurant near shilin night market. and well, as all farewell dinners go in taiwan, alcohol was aplenty. and to put it simply, i was tested to my limits and i passed it with flying colors. consider this:
9 shots of Johnnie Walker Blue Label
5 shots of Johnnie Walker Blue Label, 12 year old vintage
8 shots of gao liang (something similar to vodka. average of 84% alcohol)
3 glasses of taiwan beer (which really tastes weird)
3(?) shots of unnamed whiskey
1 shot of taiwanese 深水炸弹 (essentially a shot of gao liang dunked into a triple shot of whiskey. it hits you only after 10 minutes or so on average)

so yes. i think i passed with flying colors and considering i am on duty, to be able to wake up at 8am to send out reports and stuff without a hangover, that's something man. and shit, maybe that's why i'm not recovering. haha!
