the break.

tuesday morning spent the labor day break getting a few things sorted out. went to see an orthopedic specialist about the knee and i've been given good news - i do not need an operation. so that's one problem resolved.

met up with a fair bit of people and it was great. to be able to get away from the hassle of school work for 3 days or so really helped. it's back to the mad rush of assignments, external commitments and so on.

the semester is turning out to be more choppy than i would have expected but i guess i can't run away from it considering i jumped straight into 2nd year. at times i wonder if the 1 year exemption is really a good or bad thing for me. the good thing is, mid-term break is round the corner and unlike the second semester, it's not 10 straight weeks of hell, 2 weeks break, 3 more weeks of lessons and then exams. recovery time sure is important.

on the sporting front, i've yet to continue floorball for various reasons. i was heavily involved in IB, joined hockey for a while before the injury. so i guess it's back to recovery runs and getting myself back to fitness. might join volleyball for the hell of it next semester and of course there's touch football and road relay to look forward to. the sad thing is, i haven't been able to continue my krav maga lessons.

so yeah. so far so good despite the very tough start. i wonder how is it i still manage to hang on after all the things that have been happening and is still happening. it's mentally draining and the cracks are starting to show. my temper's becoming increasingly shorter and i'm eternally greatful to the friends who have accomodated my nonsense and been understanding thus far. i just hope that the wave of trouble passes me by soon. it's hard to put on a smile under such circumstances and i hate it.
