transformers.

saturday morning just got back from watching transformers. it's a good show. well, more than a good show. it's a great show. at least for the fans of the original series. it does make a good attempt to draw the skeptics and converts too. apart from the visuals (that were beyond stunning on all counts, megan fox included) and a rather compressed plot, the movie, was a nostalgic adventure by itself.

if one had followed the original series and watched the animated movie, you'd be able to pick up the many references and dialogs from them. even optimus prime is voiced by the original actor who did it. the humor woven into the script may come off as cheesy but it comes together nicely. the cameos by various actors add a touch of comedy and familiarity to the whole show too (bernie mac and john turturro anybody?).

anyhows, enough of the movie-critic wannabe stuff. i just think that it's a great show. thoroughly enjoyed it though i must say the locals here didn't manage to pick up a lot of jokes. blame it on the translation or their lack of understanding of the enlglish language. some jokes are meant to be told in their original language, not translated. so there.

having a whole lot of rashes on both my legs, so am scratching a lot and it's getting quite uncomfortable. invasion of the mozzies and various insects. time to cover the room with mosquito coils. hah. have a good weekend all. mine just started out perfectly. well, almost.
