Snow Patrol - Open Your Eyes

All this feels strange and untrue
And I won't waste a minute without you
My bones ache, my skin feels cold
And I'm getting so tired and so old

The anger swells in my guts
And I won't feel these slices and cuts
I want so much to open your eyes
Cos I need you to look into mine

Tell me that you'll open your eyes [x4]

Get up, get out, get away from these liars
Cos they don't get your soul or your fire
Take my hand, knot your fingers through mine
And we'll walk from this dark room for the last time

Every minute from this minute now
We can do what we like anywhere
I want so much to open your eyes
Cos I need you to look into mine

Tell me that you'll open your eyes [x8]

All this feels strange and untrue
And I won't waste a minute without you

real quick.

tuesday really quick update. played on sunday against pasirian. was a pretty good workout but since i was (and still am) recovering from tonsillitis, movement and even shooting has been sluggish. was at ngee ann coaching with najib just now. got loads to work on before ivp comes. thing is, i don't think we'll be able to cover everything, just the essentials and the urgent matters. damn it. can never get enough of time can we? got some crappy course to attend at khatib camp tomorrow at 0730hrs. so off to bed. yawn.

not again..

friday afternoon am down with tonsillitis again. for the umpteen time this year. something's seriously wrong. had a 39.4C fever yesterday before chief clerk forced me to see the MO. he thinks it's not tonsillitis but with the white streaks appearing again, i'm pretty sure it is tonsillitis. think it's time i seriously consider removing my tonsils.

wednesday was pretty good. was at the airport at 4am to meet up with ma'am wati, chief clerk, norman and ronald. the best part about it was i got to meet ma'am cho (think that's how it's spelt. =x), joanne's mum. had a good long chat about when she was working with my dad at 1PDF at maju camp. my half-day off was short-lived though when chief wanted me to go back to camp to fax something out to Rockhampton to the guys at Wallaby. was pretty pissed off but heck.

met up with julian for dinner before heading to farrer mrt to meet up with shandy, candy and her boyfriend (whose name i can't remember other than it starts with a J as well) jamie and charlene to head on down to cafe domus. that just about sums up wednesday.. heh..

reflections.

sunday morning just got home from watching Casino Royale with shank and shuren. pretty good show but it was a little bit too draggy. but all in all it was a good show. so anways.. saturday revolved around floorball. had a friendly against keith's church and sgs. scored 3 but it was nothing fantastic. didn't feel the drive to play. wonder why. went on to town with edmund to meet emily louise and yati for dinner and just to hang out in town.. so that pretty much sums up saturday. got a long week ahead. long in the sense that on tuesday and wednesday, i'll be going to changi airport at 4 bloody am to send off the Ex Wallaby people from 3SIB. sigh.

been thinking lately. am i glad that she's single again or do i feel sorry and upset because she's obviously upset? i really wonder. then again. from what i gather from her msn nick. it seems as if she's alright. well. guess i'll never know. what i do know is however, the fact that i miss her. i miss her soft touches, having her in my arms, her lying in on my lap while we were at esplanade, her sleeping in my arms in the bus or in school, watching the stars with her. the smile that makes me forget just about everything, her assurances and confidence in me. the littlest of things, even the smell of her hair. i don't think i'll ever regret spending a shit-load of money taking cab home after sending her home numerous times. i'll never regret waiting after floorball training for her to finish dance at 11pm. i regret however, letting her slip from my grasp. i've never understood why things ended the way it did and how it even came to that. was it my fault? perhaps. was it hers? maybe. i don't know. different people have told me different things and i figure sometimes it's best not to know the answer. somethings are better left unknown. the fact of the matter is that i still miss her.. to be fair, she's probably one of two girls that i've truly liked (or loved?), the other being marilyn.. i would give just about anything to have a 2nd shot but somethings are beyond my control and so nature takes its course. God's plans perhaps.. right now i'm just thankful for everything i've got. guess like the saying goes, you never miss what you've got till you lose them. painful lessons that i've learnt.

the ball with 1516 dimples and 26 holes...

friday been itching to play floorball for a very long while. havent done that for what? 2 weeks now? hah. yes yes. short time i know but its an addiction that never goes away. anyway. pol-ite is going on now and it's not going to well for NP. i'm not really bothered about the girls team because that's not for me to worry about but it's worrisome to see that guys have very low (or no?) confidence in themselves. either that it's arrogance. at least i'm not alone in sharing this point of view about them. but whatever it is, a 5-0 lost to TP and a 1-1 draw with NYP is how they've started so far. what a telling difference in the scoreline as well as their playing mentality. discipline and a fighting spirit makes a hell lot of difference.

been watching the old Bond movies on Star Movies this past week. it's funny how westerners viewed asians last time: people with weird accents, speaking "cute" english and always having a straight face. oh. let's not forget the stone-faced killer who throws steel-lined hats at people. haha. much as the lines are cheesy (with Bond making one-liners for himself and the movie audience to laugh at) and the effects cheap (as compared to now), the movies are still fun to watch and enjoy. and Bond being Bond. hah. let's just say its hilarious watching how he gets all the babes (bad and good. they're still girls). and there's always Q. the intelligent dude with wonderful inventions and witty comments to make Bond shut his, i quote "childish quips".
